Pioneers in Computer Assisted Reporting (CAR) in the UK, since 2003, The Center for Investigative Journalism has run an annual CIJ summer school, providing cutting-edge training in technical and theoretical skills, married to expertise and insight from the highest levels of investigative journalism.
We also offer practice-based one-off workshops in CAR to industry, higher education, and NGOs. These cover; advanced internet research, Freedom of Information theory and practice, and the application of spreadsheet, database and mapping technologies toward supporting and inspiring ideas for investigative research.
